The Epilogue did annoyed me a bit, but in a good way. It seems that the current day (decades after the incident in the novel) the zombie infestation is contained (not sure whether or not it is eradicated). This two parts offers a lot of information about the world after the apocalypse. I also liked the way the Preface and the Epilogue was written. It’s also real creative how the author covers other survivor’s stories through the comments in Allison’s blog. Every couple of days the main character writes on the blog and people who has access to the internet comments in it. I thought the cover looked cute and from the cover, I can kind of guessed that the story will be cheeky and a fun read. I liked how the story is told in blog format. It’s quite interesting. I picked up this book when I saw the cover and read the synopsis. This book is really a breath of fresh air from the usual zombie books I read.

I guess normal books no longer appeal to me. I just can’t help it, I really love zombie stories.

But as the reality of their situation sinks in, Allison’s blog becomes a harrowing account of her edge-of-the-seat adventures (with some witty sarcasm thrown in) as she and her companions fight their way through ravenous zombies and sometimes even more dangerous humans. It may also be her only chance to reach her mother. Allison reaches out for help through her blog, writing on her laptop and utilizing the military’s emergency wireless network (SNET). “One woman’s story as she blogs – and fights back – the zombie apocalypse”Īllison Hewitt and her five colleagues at the Brooks and Peabody Bookstore are trapped together when the zombie outbreak hits.

For my part, I hope I manage it with as much humanity and determination as Allison.
